Women of Worth (WOW) |

Women of Worth (WOW) is a program for girls at Oliver MS with a sincere desire to develop the qualities that will serve them all of their lives. We hope to assist them in achieving academically and socially. Our motto is "All A's: achievement, acceptance and action." WOW meets on the second Tuesday of each month, October through May and will provide special programs such as guest speakers, an arts or crafts activity, healthy snack and time to share with others. Meetings are after school from 4:00 - 5:30 PM.
Each month there will be a theme, such as self-respect, tolerance, conflict resolution, and visions of the future. Facilitators are all certified teachers at Oliver. Plans are in the works to have a field trip to visit one or two college campuses and possibly a visit to a museum for enrichment.
