As the parent of a Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools’ student, you have entrusted the school system with an important task -- the education of your child.  At Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, we are committed to providing your child and all the children in our community with the highest quality education. There are many ways parents can be involved in their child's education.

Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools is also fortunate to have strong community support. Partnerships with area businesses, government, nonprofit groups, foundations, faith-based organizations and communities help provide students with additional educational and enrichment opportunities.

Involvement can take many forms, including:

• donating your time to volunteer in the classroom
• mentoring a child
• attending public hearings
• working with one of the many businesses or non-profits, which support Metro schools 

Having community members involved in the school system, not only improves the lives of children, but also strengthens the community, and improves the quality of life in Nashville.
