Here's what's happening at Oliver Middle School



Our Intermediate Band’s trip to Dollywood was a huge success! They recieved: 
Superior Rating First Place Concert Band
Outstanding Section – Bassoons
Outstanding Section – Percussion


Ms. Hunt's class created puppet stages for Charlotte's Web.

Ms. McClain's 5th grade class did a really cool State's Project.

7th Grade went on a field trip to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Nashville's Riverfront.

Our school was featured on Metro's March 27, Newsletter for our successful Pennies for Patients Campaign.

Oliver Middle Raises Pennies for Patients

Students at Oliver Middle School have raised $3,178 in their Pennies for Patients campaign, a school service project designed to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. During the three week project, the students donated $2,478 and raised $700 at their Valentine’s Day celebration. The top three classes were Ms. Striepling’s sixth grade with $525, Ms. Connelly’s seventh grade with $466 and Mrs. Schrope’s fifth grade with $180. Mrs. Schrope, a Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor, assisted Student Council in planning this year’s campaign; congratulations to all students and faculty who participated!

Klyner Harrell finished in 6th place out of 64 participants at the Kathryn C. Mitchell Spelling Bee. Click here to see him with his plaque. Mrs. Riand said, "He was really fantastic and made it all the way to the 7th round!!"
